West Michigan ASIS is a chapter of ASIS International. ASIS International is the preeminent organization for security professionals. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics.
At our local Chapter level, West Michigan ASIS works to provide networking and educational opportunities to local security professionals and their organizations. We do this while working to maintain close relationships with area law enforcement and other local, regional, state, and federal security agencies working within the West Michigan area.
Finally, our local efforts attempt to communicate the vital role that security professionals play in our communities and work to introduce and mentor students and other individuals who desire to learn more about a career as a security professional.
